Staff were thoughtful, we stayed there for my husband's birthday and they decorated the room even though I didn't tell them so that's a great plus. The cafe matcha was fantastic, we loved it so much. We asked for high floor n they gave us a room in the second highest floor so kudos to that. There's also a small kitchenette w microwave, we didn't use it but imagine it'll be very convenient if we need to grab a bite/heat things up for a snack. Appreciate there's an extendable mirror in the bathroom so helps when I'm doing skincare/makeup Housekeeping was also accommodative, when I felt the pillow was too low n requested for extras they provided us with pillows swiftly, it was 12ish am and we were tired so really appreciate that When we arrived, there's a porter who helped us with our luggage, nice touch

Giving it a 7 because service n room management needs to improve. It's a good hotel w good facilities, n bright spots here and there but still rough around the edges, hopefully it'll get better over time. I think our room was empty for pretty long cuz I saw a layer of dust on the kettle. There's also a 1-baht size hole on the blanket, did not affect anything practically except our impression of the housekeeping given this is a 4-star hotel. The pillow was a bit low for us but easily remedied per above. The bathroom panel where the mirror is looks unfinished we could see the plywood the size of a tennis ball behind the panel, its like the hotel wanted to install something there but either decided not to n didn't care or forgot. Our room had a coffee table n two arm chairs that I think are too big for the room, as they made it feel a bit cramped. The porter/security service at the hotel entrance has inconsistent service, I am not sure what's their scope of work. We grabbed regularly during our two night stay there, sometimes they would help us open our grab car door, sometimes they don't. They also did not smile. A simple smile would have gone a long way in making guests feel welcomed. When we returned on the first night, there were men (not guests) smoking at the entrance. If they r staff, they shouldn't be smoking on the job or in sight of guests, if they r not, they really have no business smoking at the hotel lobby. Small things that add up and made me feel the hotel does not yet live up to its four-star rating. We have stayed in 3-star hotels before which took care of these small details

Great location, close to the subway but still far enough from the noise of the main street. Staff is very friendly, helpful and kind and pool area is great place to chil during the hot period of the day.

The room amenities can be improved, the touches to make a stay feel more luxurious given the Banyan Tree name

Pillows were way too soft and they didn’t have options when we asked for firmer ones. The cafe staff was overworked and it showed during morning breakfast service.
